SPADA Innovations, Inc. (SPADA) was incorporated in 2010 to bring Passive Optical Networks (PON) to California as a strategic partner of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Because of its amazing high-speed capabilities going into the future, today PON is referred to as High-Speed Fiber.

PON was a breakthrough technology innovation that while readily accepted and highly deployed today, was strongly rejected by the mainstream commercial Information Technology Community of the US until 2015. This was the case even though it had been successfully deployed at the National Security Agency, Homeland Security and Sandia National Labs within the Federal Sector.

Against that strong opposition, SPADA promoted PON, achieved key high profile deployments, developed fundamental Information Security Patents and set the stage for what years later would be a fully accepted and highly deployed solution.
